​Thank you to all that prayed, donated, and served by helping us pack shoebox gifts for children. With the Lord leading, and your support, we have continued to reach our shoebox gift goal each year. We are passionate about this project and look forward to sharing the gospel with even more people "here and abroad"  through this ministry. Thank you for participating in the Great Commission!

We invite you to join us in partnering with Samaritan's Purse to pack shoebox gifts in Jesus' name to provide tangible items and toys for children and to further the gospel. We will gladly accept shoebox gifts you pack at home as well. You may pick up a colorful shoebox ready to go, and/or, join us for our annual shoebox gift packing party on November 6th from 6pm - 8pm.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

​PRAY

Pray for each child that will receive a shoebox gift and for those taking part in this ministry. Over the years we have intertwined this ministry with our youth and our community.  Many people are impacted in a positive way from those donating items, to those participating in the event, and those receiving the shoebox gift. Just one shoebox gift can not only change the life of the child receiving the shoebox gift but thier whole family and village as well. And those participating in our packing parties get to hear the Good News and participate in something good - helping pack the shoeboxes and pray for the children receiving the much needed gifts. 

DONATE

We collect all year long so we can include the community in our annual packing party. We always accept basic items (Boxed soap, washcloths, toothbrushes, crayons, pencils, pencil sharpeners, notebooks, small balls, Wow toys-stuffed animals, whistle foot balls), and  filler items such as: jumpropes, small cars, hairbows, stickers - any approved gift item on the list. 

Most needed in 2023? Monetary donations to help Samaratin's Purse ship the shoebox gifts. OCC envelopes are located in the foyer or call the church office for more information:623-933-3106. Write OCC in the memo of your check and place it in the OCC envolope or include a note with your donation in the mail to Compass Bible Church, 11230 W. Alabama Ave. Youngtown, AZ. 85363.

By donating towards the shipping and handling you are also supporting the communtiy receiving the boxes to offer the GREATEST JOURNEY, which is a 12- lesson Discipleship Program. VOLUNTEER

Join us for the Shoebox packing party and invite a friend on Monday, November 6th from 6pm - 8pm in the Fellowship Hall to help us pack 400 shoebox gifts.

Join the team to transport the shoebox gifts to our local collection site. 

Ladies - please join us for Fellowship with a Purpose on Tuesdays from 1pm - 3pm to take part in various behind the scenes serving to prepare for our annual shoebox gift packing party.

BUILD

One of the most helpful ways to support OCC is to build your own box or two at home and/or participate in scheduled packing parties, inviting family and friends to join in. Packing parties have been wildly successful in the past, with a record high of 630 boxes in 2021! Our church may be small, but with the Lord and your participation, we are reaching children with the love of Jesus Christ.
