My name is Dave Evans and my wife is Nicki. We live in Surprise, AZ. The Lord brought us together during the summer of 1998 in Warrenton, MO where we were both receiving specialized training at the Children’s Ministries Institute® through Child Evangelism Fellowship® (CEF®). We were married on December 18, 1999 in Erie, PA. Faith was born on September 19, 2005. Aaron was born on December 16, 2007.
I was a volunteer teacher to children in various ministries since 1987, but started in full-time ministry with CEF Phoenix in August 1998. After a lot of prayer, Gospel 4 Kids, Inc. was started in April 2002. Nicki taught 4th grade from August 2000 to May 2005. She stopped teaching to be a stay-at-home mom and assist me in the ministry. Nicki was also a part-time substitute teacher when Faith & Aaron were in school all day. In August 2015, we started homeschooling Faith (4th grade) & Aaron (2nd grade) with the goal of combining their education with new ministry opportunities.
Gospel 4 Kids is a Bible-centered, nondenominational, 501(c)(3) non-profit ministry whose purpose is delivering God’s Good News to children through Gospel Parties, VBS, Gospel Presentations, Open-air Evangelism,Teacher Training, G4K Mailbox Club, and partnering with other children's ministries & organizations.
Gospel 4 Kids is God’s ministry, and it has been awesome to see how He provides for all the needs! Nicki & I firmly believe that in this ministry those who pray, give financially, and partner in other ways are just as important as those who go and reach the children. Because of the partnerships with us in ministry, thousands of boys and girls have heard the Gospel and many have received Jesus as their Savior! Praise the Lord!
At the age of 17, Ramon felt God call him to full-time Christian ministry, so he registered at Seminario Bautista de Nogales (SEBANO), a theological institution of the Conservative Baptists in Mexico.
After graduating from seminary in 1978, he began serving as a missionary in Sonora, Mexico, where he planted two churches.
In 1983, Ramon felt the need to train other Mexican nationals for ministry, so he moved to Nogales, Sonora, and started teaching at the seminary. He also pastored one of the churches in Nogales.
In 2003 Ramon graduated in Business Administration from the Nogales Technological Institute. After serving at the seminary for 21 years, in 2005 Ramon was appointed as the Executive Director of the seminary.
Ramon is developing a new strategy for the seminary to reach a greater number of students in the Nogales, Sonora and Northwest Mexico area. The extension program of the Nogales Baptist Seminary involves courses in different cities and great ministry in the prisons of Nogales.
Ramon was born and raised in a Christian home in Mexico. He accepted Christ as his Savior when he was 16 years old.
After God called his wife Alma to heaven, Ramon married Ana Cruz in May 2015. Ramon has three daughters: Sonia, Lily and Amy.
